Human greed, the worst predator on the planet.

The predator according to google definition is either:
a) an animal that naturally preys on others, or
b) a person who ruthlessly exploits others.

Whichever way I took a look at it, I have eventually come to the conclusion that the worst predator on the planet is the human greed. The never-ending hunger and the constant thirst for more. Is it in our human nature to behave even worse than animals? Are we really human or is it being human considered mistankenly as a part of a great character? All these agonizing questions have arisen while I was speechlessly watching how another source of water was literally disapearing in front of my eyes.

Living apart from nature, where we used to thrive as beings, are we also apart from our souls and ourselves? Separated and individualized the milllions of us, being so similar to those tireless ants, we all seem to build our own silver cages of dreams that might taste like nightmares to Mother Earth, Father Ocean, and our far Brotherhood of Atmosphere of Stars that shine light on the dark side of our journey.

We have the tendency to dwell in our minds and let our hearts homeless. Searching for nothing else than everything, we find the nonsense of our lives. We try to live yet our attempts are another failure to please to bespoke demands of each egocentric ruler. We try to believe yet the faith is out of our reach. Then we fall and wait to be rescued by some handsome principle of the humankind. But nothing arrives in the empty envelope full of silent emoticons.

Diving deeper into the nostalgy of reality, darkness seems to be dawn. Another morning spilled over and the coffeee has no more effect on what used to be our awakening. Minoritized, despised, confused, as long as we continue living like shameless greedy creatures or let those creatures rule our world, we will be far from human shapes.

This brief reflection has been a call to our human heart, the part of ourselves that can feel the pain when something is lost. We will not be able to realize that we are loosing so much while living in the uproar of our urban consumerist lifestyles where no one has time for nothing else than to be what we are not. Apart. Nevertheless, I still do believe in the common force of the humanity of our specie in evolution despite its ups and downs. At some point we will have to wake up from our naivety and grab the remaining time with the bunch of dreams willing to do something for a better present, past and the future.

In union there is strenght.
