Vegan Star focuses on providing a new social service with innovative component of vegan and ecological awareness that is materialised via educational programmes to meet this specific challenge.

The added value of Vegan Star is that it not only provides awareness in ecological collective knowledge but it also introduces specific assets to increase ecological and vegan know-how. Vegan Star, therefore, helps to reduce the knowledge-action gap through the commitment to the higher mission of the organization. The purpose of Vegan Star is to connect people with natural ways of life in order to reduce human footprint on the wealth of our ecosystems propelling new skills and personal competences that lead to healthy and meaningful vegan lifestyles.

The United Nations established a blueprint for shaping a better future for current and next generations. Yet in order to reach such an ambitious mission, this organization has designed specific Sustainable Development Goals to accomplish by 2030 (www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/sustainable-development-goals). This time schedule leaves us no doubt that there is an urgency element in the need of bringing strategic awareness among concrete targets of individuals in order to attain the main goal of life continuity on the planet. The Sustainable Development Goals address targets from multifaceted areas of human enterprise and aim to counteract the most imperative challenges of our current society within the outreach of human wellbeing, environmental degradation, climate, world hunger, inequality, peace and justice.

In this line and with the aim to articulate a feasible solution to the competing concerns of our individual and collective wellbeing, Vegan Star arises to harness the synergies that bring veganism to the front of a productive interconnectedness. Veganism, here perceived as a movement, as a way of life, and as a more conscious culture, performs a direct impact on human ecological awareness that behaves as a transferable element among other consumption patterns of our current society emplaced mostly in urban habitat.
